V.Rev. Bobby Joseph Corepiscopa was born on 17th November, 1945 to late Rev.Fr.K.K Joseph and late Mrs. Aleyamma Joseph, Koungampillil, Kothamangalam. He has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He was ordained as a Decon in May 1962 by the then Ankamali Metropolitan H.G. Geevarghese Mor Gregoriose. After his post graduation he worked as the secretary of the Diocision Metropolitan. He got married in 1972 to Mrs. Ramanie D/o Late Mr. V.T. Mathew and Thankamma Mathew, Vadavarayil(Edathumpadickal), Kollad. From 1972-84 V.Rev. Joseph worked in Zambia and Nigeria as a teacher. In Nigeria he had established his parish directly under our Patriarch Ignatiuz Zakka 1 Iwas. In 1984 He migrated to USA and established his parish in Denver, Colarado. He moved to Atlanta in 1986 and started the first Jacobite Church in Atlanta area. The congregation was multi-denominational in the beginning, as the Malayalee community was small and growing. As the community was blessed with enormous growth, different denominations established their own churches throughout the Greater Atlanta region and in the near by cities. Most of the Malayalee churches in Atlanta area are the offshoots of this church. Initially the congregation was started as home church and later on moved to a rental facility. In April 2005, St.Mary’s Atlanta was able to buy a property of its own. Church operations and Sunday services are being offered from the new facility in Lilburn, from September of 2005.

V.Rev. Bobby Joseph Corepiscopa and Ramani have three children - Jith and his wife Dr. Asha, Jilu and her husband Dr. Mathew Oommen, and Dr. Jerome. They have been blessed with four grand children - Jacob, Benjamin, Riya and Ava

It was in May 21st of 2005 that V.Rev. Bobby Joseph was consecrated as corepiscopa by His Beatitude Baseliose Thomas 1 at St.Mary’s Church Kothamangalam, Kerala.
